Melt 1 stick butter. Crush 1 1/2 cups oyster crackers, 2 cups Pepperidge Farm dressing mix. Mix all above with butter except 1/2 cup oyster crackers mix. Put a layer of above in a buttered dish (about half of mix). Put 2 pints of oysters, drained, save liquid. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons salt over above and a little pepper. 1 can mushrooms (stems and pieces are less expensive). Sprinkle parsley over above.
Pour 1/2 cup oyster liquid and 1/4 cup milk (whole or Carnation) over. Add remaining cracker mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until slightly brown.
