BUTTERSCOTCH PIE 
1 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. flour
2 eggs, separated
2 tbsp. butter

Heat brown sugar and 1 cup milk in a double boiler until all lumps disappear and sugar is melted. Beat egg yolks and add 1/2 cup milk and flour. Mix sugar with flour, milk and eggs. Cook until thick and smooth. Remove from heat and add butter. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue and brown in oven.

MERINGUE:

Beat the egg whites until stiff. Add 2 tablespoons sugar slowly. Add pinch of baking powder.
