GINGERBREAD 
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. molasses
1/2 c. cooking oil
1 c. hot water

Mix dry ingredients. Add molasses, oil and hot water. Thoroughly blend all ingredients. Pour in greased 8 or 9-inch square pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes or until pick inserted in center comes out clean and cake pulls away from sides of pan. Makes 9 servings. Frost with cream cheese frosting.
