1 boxed cake mix FIRST TOPPING: 5 tbsp. flour 1 1/2 c. milk 1 c. sugar 1 stick butter 1 c. Crisco SECOND TOPPING: 1 stick butter 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 3 pkgs. of premelted chocolate 2 1/2 tbsp. hot water 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix and bake boxed cake according to instructions. Cool the cake. Prepare first topping: Mix flour and milk in a pan. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Allow to COOL. Cream sugar, butter, Crisco. Add cooled flour/ milk mixture. Beat well. Spread over cooled cake. Refrigerate. Prepare second topping: Melt butter and cool. Beat egg, vanilla, chocolate, water, and sugar. Add to cooled butter. Mix and pour over the first topping. |
