ORANGE-ALMOND SALAD 
1/4 c. salad oil
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. malt vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. almond extract
6 c. torn mixed greens
3 med. oranges, peeled, sliced crosswise and halved
1 c. thinly sliced celery
2 tbsp. sliced green onion
1/3 c. toasted slivered almonds

In a screw-top jar, combine oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and almond extract. Cover and shake well to dissolve sugar and salt. Chill.

At serving time, in large salad bowl combine greens, oranges, celery and onion. Sprinkle with almonds. Pour dressing over and toss gently to coat. Serve at once. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
