NEW YORK POTATOES ANNA 
2 lbs. potatoes, thinly sliced
1 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c. heavy cream

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Peel and thinly slice potatoes. Spread over bottom and sides of 9-inch pie plate 1/3 of potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top with 1/2 of cheese.

Repeat to make 2 more layers. Pour cream over potatoes. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 25 minutes longer. Cut into 6 wedges and serve. Makes 6 servings.
