STEWED CABBAGE AND APPLES 
3 tbsp. butter
1 med. green cabbage head, finely shredded
2 lg. tart green apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
2 lg. McIntosh apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
Generous pinch of caraway seeds
Salt and pepper
1/4 c. sour cream

Melt butter in heavy large skillet over medium heat. Add cabbage, apples and caraway. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until cabbage is tender, stirring occasionally, about 8 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in sour cream. Transfer to dish and serve. 12 servings.
