NOODLE SOUP 
8 c. (2 quarts) water
1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground beef
1 to 2 stalks celery, diced
1 to 2 onions, diced
1 can tomatoes, cut-up
salt and pepper, to taste
marjoram, to taste
1 bay leaf
medium sized noodles
1 to 2 large potatoes, diced

Bring water to boil. Add meat, celery, onions, tomatoes and spices. Bring to second boil. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

Uncover; bring to boil (skim off fat, if necessary). Add desired amount of noodles and potatoes. After water returns to boil, simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes until potatoes and noodles are done. May omit onions, if desired. Add more water when necessary.
