QUICK BREAD 
1 1/4 c. milk
4 tbsp. yeast
4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar & a little more
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 cube butter
Shake salt

TOPPING:

1 egg, beaten
Sugar, just a little

Warm 1/4 cup of the milk. In bowl, put yeast in milk and a little sugar. Let set for 15 minutes in warm place. Warm the flour bowl, then put yeast mixture with flour and salt; mix. Melt butter, add egg yolks, sugar, butter and milk. Stir. Turn onto floured surface and knead for 5 to 10 minutes. Set back in bowl and let rise until double in warm place, 20 to 25 minutes. Cut into three pieces and braid. Set on cookie sheet and brush with topping. Let dry and brush again. Bake in 375 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes. Make two loaves. Cut into six pieces. Braid.
