DO AHEAD LASAGNA 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tbsp. instant onion
2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
3 1/2 c. water
3/4 lb. (2 1/4 c.) Mozzarella cheese
3/4 lb. lasagna noodles, uncooked

Brown ground beef with onion and seasonings. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce and water. Bring to a boil, simmer 10 minutes. Mixture will be thin.

In 9x13 inch baking pan, ladle about 1 1/2 cups sauce. Cover sauce with 4 uncooked noodles. Ladle more sauce to cover noodles. Sprinkle 1/3 of cheese over sauce. Make 3 layers like this. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or for 2 hours if it has been refrigerated.
