WHOLE WHEAT APPLESAUCE CAKE 
1/2 c. oil
3/4 c. granulated brown sugar
1 c. applesauce
1 1/2 c. unsifted whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon

cream oil and sugar together. Mix in applesauce and baking soda. Add flour and cinnamon, blending thoroughly.

Oil and flour an 8-inch baking dish or muffin tins. Pour batter into pan or make individual cakes in muffin tins. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes in 8-inch pan, 20 minutes for cupcakes or 8-inch pan. Yield: 9 servings.
