3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cinnamon
1 c. pecans, optional
1 box yellow cake mix
1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding
4 eggs
3/4 c. water
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. cooking oil

Mix sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Use part of this to coat bottom and sides of pans. Save rest for layers. Grease pan and shake sugar around until coated.

Blend remaining ingredients for batter. Alternate layers of batter with sugar mixture. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees, cool slightly before removing from pans. Wrap in foil to freeze. It's better after a couple of days.
