CHOCOLATE MINT SQUARES | |
1 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 4 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. flour 1 can chocolate syrup 2 c. powdered sugar 4 tbsp. creme de menthe 1/2 c. butter 6 oz. chocolate chips 6 tbsp. butter Mix sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, salt, flour and chocolate syrup and pour into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Beat together powdered sugar, creme de menthe and butter until fluffy. Spread over cooled cake. Put into refrigerator until mint layer sets, about 45 minutes. Melt chocolate chips and butter together. Cool a little and spread over mint layer. Chill 5 to 10 minutes. Cut into squares. Keep refrigerated. These freeze well. |
