YELLOW PARTY CAKE 
2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted
1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter (1 1/2 sticks)
3/4 c. milk
3 eggs
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) or 3 (8 inch) round cake pans. Measure all ingredients into large mixer bowl. Blend at low speed until ingredients are all incorporated, scraping bowl constantly. Increase mixer speed to medium and beat for 5 minutes longer. Pour batter into pans and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Cool cake in pans for 10 minutes; turn cakes onto wiring rack and complete cooling. Frost with Buttercream Icing or any favorite icing.
