ICE BOX DESSERT 
1 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix as for pie crust. Press into 9x13 pan. Press in few nuts, if desired. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees, or until golden brown.

FILLING:

1. Whip 8 ounce cream cheese. Gradually add 1 cup sugar, whipping until fluffy. Add 1 heaping cup Cool Whip. Beat until smooth. Spread on cool crust.

2. Mix 2 small (3 3/4 ounce) packages instant lemon pudding (Jello) and 3 cups milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat according to package. Spread on cream cheese mix. Spread remaining Cool Whip on lemon mix. Sprinkle with nuts for decoration. Refrigerate. Can be made the night before needed. NOTE: I substitute pistachio (green) pudding for St. Patrick's and cherry or strawberry for Washington's birthday.
