SLOVENIAN FRIED ROLL 
2 eggs
1 c. whipping cream
6 tbsp. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. salt
1/2 cake yeast or 1 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in sm. amount of water
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
1 tsp. baking powder

Beat together eggs, whipping cream, and sugar. Add dissolved yeast. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes. Roll out about 1/2 inch thick. Cut the dough into diamond shaped pieces about 3 inches long. Punch holes in center of each piece. Then pull two ends of the dough through. Fry in deep fat.
