SWEET AND SOUR SPARERIBS 
4 lbs. spareribs

Brown and add 1 1/2 cups water and simmer for 1 1/2 hours. Drain well. Cover with sweet and sour sauce and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE:

1 1/2 c. cold water
3 tbsp. cornstarch
6 tbsp. vinegar
7 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. plus 1 tbsp. soy sauce

Mix together, then bring to a gently boil so sauce thickens.
