MASHED POTATO HORNS 
1/2 c. scalded milk
2 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. mashed potatoes
2 c. flour
1 cake yeast

Cool milk to lukewarm, add yeast, shortening, sugar and salt. Blend in egg, mashed potatoes and flour. Mix until smooth. Place in refrigerator for 2 hours. Divide dough into 3 parts. Roll each into a round 1/4 inch thick. Brush generously with soft butter. Cut each round into 8 wedges, roll and shape into horns. Place on greased sheet. Let rise for 1 hour in warm place. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
