1 lb. candied cherries (red & green) 1 1/2 lb. nuts (6 c.) 1 lb. white raisins 4 slices candied pineapple 1/2 lb. mixed fruit candied 1 tsp. each allspice, nutmeg & cloves 2/3 c. brandy 1 heaping c. brown sugar 1/2 c. butter 4 eggs 3 c. flour 3 tsp. baking soda 3 tbsp. milk Chop nuts and fruit in small pieces. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and add brandy. Add soda to milk. Add spices to flour and add alternately with milk to first mixture, reserving 1 cup flour to coat fruit and nuts. Add fruit. Drop by teaspoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 250 degrees for approximately 20-25 minutes. Remove to cookie rack to cool. |
