HOMEMADE PANCAKE SYRUP 
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/3 c. water
Pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla

Dissolve sugar in water in saucepan. Add salt and boil 1 minute. Add vanilla; mix well. Serve warm. Comes in handy when out of bottled syrup.
