ORIENTAL CABBAGE SALAD | |
1/2 c. butter 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 c. sesame seeds 2 (3 oz.) pkgs. ramen noodles (any flavor, don't use spices) 3 oz. pkg. slivered almonds 1 lg. head Chinese cabbage (coarsely chopped) 4 green onions with tops (chopped) DRESSING: 3/4 c. cooking oil 1/4 c. red wine vinegar 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 c. sugar (or 1/8 c. white, 1/8 c. brown) In large skillet melt butter and add sugar, sesame seeds, noodles (break into small pieces) and almonds. Cook and stir until lightly browned. Cool to room temperature. Chop cabbage and onions and combine all with the dressing. Chill and serve. |
