MOM'S FREEZER HAMBURGERS | |
Back in the 60's my mother always kept a large supply of these in the freezer. These have been a big favorite of 3 generations of kids now. 1 lb. ground beef 3 hard boiled eggs, diced 1 large dill pickle, diced 1 medium onion, diced 1 small green pepper, diced 1 cup celery, diced salt and pepper, to taste 1 pkg. cheese slices (your favorite) ketchup (Hunts) Brown and drain hamburger. Add next 6 ingredients. Mix together and add enough ketchup to hold all together and make moist. Place heaping spoonful on hamburger bun. Place 1 slice of cheese on top. Put on bun top and wrap each hamburger in foil. Place in 325°F oven for 45 minutes. Keeps well in freezer. Note: If frozen, place in 250°F oven for 1 1/2 hours. Makes 2 dozen. Submitted by: Carol |
