SNICKER CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels 1 stick butter 1/3 c. milk 3/4 c. chocolate chips 1 c. pecans Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Pour half of batter into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Meanwhile, melt caramels, butter and milk together in a double boiler. Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over it. Top with chocolate chips and pecans. Dot remaining cake batter over the top and return cake to oven for 20 minutes at 250 degrees, then for 10 to 15 minutes more at 350 degrees. |
