WHISKEY CAKE | |
3/4 c. butter 3 eggs 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/4 c. nuts 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 c. raisins, boiled 20 minutes in 1 1/2 c. water 2 tsp. salt in 1 tbsp. whiskey Cream sugar and butter, then add eggs; beat well. Cool raisins. Sift flour, salt and soda; add nuts. Mix to cream mixture with raisins. Put in 8" cake pans. Bake for 35 minutes in a 375 degree oven. Cool. Frost with butter frosting; use 1 tablespoons whiskey or flavoring. |
