GLORIFIED GRAHAM CRACKERS 
15 graham crackers (to fill a 9x13-inch pan)
1/2 cup almond slices or chopped nuts
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 cup chocolate chips

Arrange crackers in bottom of a well-buttered 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle with nuts.

Combine butter and brown sugar in a saucepan; boil hard for 3 minutes (burns easily; stir constantly). Stir in extract. Pour carefully over crackers. Sprinkle with chips.

Bake at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until bubbly all over. Cut or break into small squares while warm. Store in covered container in refrigerator.
