LAMB STEAKS IN SHERRY WINE A KEEPER! | |
4 lamb steaks 1/2" thick juice from 1 lemon garlic salt or powder (lightly) Rosemary Curry powder (or some kind of hot sauce) 3 tbs olive oil salt pepper 1/3 cup sherry wine Marinate the steaks with the lemon juice, sprinkle lightly on both sides with garlic salt, rosemary, curry (careful, it's HOT), salt and pepper to taste. Let sit for at least 1 hour. In a heavy skillet heat olive oil. Brown steaks on both sides for 5 to 8 minutes. You might have to cut the edges of the steaks while they are cooking so they do not curl up. Then add the reserved marinade and sherry wine. Cook for an additional 10 minutes or until done. Serve with mashed potatoes, noodles or rice. I had never cooked lamb before, but my husband really likes it, so I cooked this, and he said: "It's a keeper!" Submitted by: Rose Griffith |
