OATMEAL CARAMEL DELIGHTS 
32 light caramels
5 tbsp. milk
3/4 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. quick-cooking oats
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. In a medium saucepan, over low heat, melt caramels in milk. Stir until smooth; set aside. In a medium bowl, mix butter and brown sugar. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in oats. Press half the mixture into the bottom of baking dish. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Drizzle with caramel mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool baking dish on a wire rack. Chill at least 1 hour before cutting into 2 x 1 1/2 inch pieces. Makes 32 bars.
