CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. sugar
2 jumbo eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
12 oz. chocolate chips

Cream Crisco and butter until light and fluffy. Add sugars and continue creaming. Add eggs, beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and beat until mixed in.

Mix flour and soda together and stir into creamed mixture. Fold in nuts and chip. Batter should be stiff and not stick to your hands - if so, add a little more flour a tablespoon at a time. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
