PASTA SALAD 
1 box Rotini or shells
1 can green beans
2 or 3 carrots, sliced
1 green pepper, chopped
1/4 c. onion, chopped fine
4 or 5 celery stalks, chopped
1 sm. head cauliflower
1 sm. bunch broccoli
Bacon bits (optional)
Chick peas (optional)
1 c. oil
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/8 tsp. garlic salt

Cook pasta as directed - don't over cook. Keep pasta a little firm. Let pasta become cold. In large mixing bowl, combine green beans, green pepper, onion, celery, bacon bits and chick peas (optional).

Take carrots, cauliflower and broccoli and steam for 2 minutes in microwave to softened. Add to other vegetables, mix well. Add pasta.

In another bowl - add oil, sugar, vinegar, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic salt. Mix well. Make sure sugar is well dissolved. Pour over vegetables and pasta. Add more dressing if needed after salad has sat for awhile. Then making additional dressing use equal amounts when mixing together. Serve cold.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
