CARAMEL ICING 
3 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1 sm. can evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Brown 1/2 cup sugar in heavy pan, add water, boil until syrupy. Add 2 1/2 cups sugar, milk and butter. Bring to a boil, boil 5 minutes, remove from heat, add vanilla. Cool 15 minutes. Beat until creamy.
