1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water

Pat sugar in iron skillet when brown; add water.

MIXTURE II:

3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
Dash of salt
1 stick butter
1 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix these ingredients together and add Mixture I with mixture and cook to soft ball stage.
