OATMEAL CHEWS 
1 c. cooked oatmeal
1 egg
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. corn oil
1 tbsp. brewers yeast
1 tsp. bonemeal
3 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. cornmeal

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix all ingredients, with the exception of the flour and cornmeal. Stir. Combine remaining ingredients. Turn out onto floured board and knead in approximately 1 1/2 cups flour to make a smooth ball. Roll out to 1/4 inch thick. Cut and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Poke a few holes down the center using a fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees for 1hour. Turn biscuits over after 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Bake until desired hardness.
