HARVARD BEETS 
1 can sliced beets
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt. Add vinegar and water and let boil 5 minutes. Add beets and heat thoroughly. Serves 4 to 6.
