SWEDISH KRINGLER 
CRUST:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. water

TOPPING:

1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 eggs

FROSTING:

1 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. butter

1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 to 2 tsp. milk

Mix crust ingredients. Pat or roll to 2 (12 x 3 inch) strips on cookie sheets. Bring water and butter to boil. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in flour, beat. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beat, stir in almond. Spread over pastry. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool and frost. Do not cover to store.
