MICHAEL'S POP-OVER PIZZA | |
1 lb. ground beef 1/2 chopped lg. onion 1 (26 oz.) can spaghetti sauce 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Mozzarella cheese, sliced 2 eggs 1 c. milk 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 c. sifted flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese (optional) 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease or Pam spray 13x9x2 inch baking pan. 2. Brown beef with onion, breaking it up with spoon. Skim off excess fat. 3. Stir in sauce and simmer 10 minutes. Spoon mixture into prepared pan. Top with cheese slices. 4. Beat egg, milk and oil with electric mixer in mixing bowl or osterizer. Beat in flour and salt until batter is smooth. Pour batter over meat filling spreading completely to cover. Sprinkle with Parmesan. 5. Bake in oven for 30 minutes or until puffed and deep golden brown. Cut in squares. Serve while hot and puffy. |
