AUNT IDA'S FOWL DRESSING FOR 50 PEOPLE | |
4 loaves bread, soaked but not too wet Add: 3 or 4 c. diced, cooked celery 1/2 c. ground up onion which was sauteed in 1 c. shortening 1 tsp. sage 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 handful salt To this add cooked and ground up parts of turkey (and some chicken if you need) to make 1 1/2 quarts meat Grease roaster and bake slowly at 300 degrees 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Turn down heat after it starts baking. |
