PINK PEANUT PATTIES 
3 c. sugar
2/3 c. white corn syrup
1 c. canned milk
6 drops red food color
2 tbsp. butter
2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Cook everything except the vanilla to the firm ball stage or to about 250 degrees on a candy thermometer. Add vanilla, beat until creamy and thick. Pour into three buttered aluminum pie pans. Makes 3 large patties.
