STEAK HOT DISH 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak, cut in serving pieces
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1 (No. 2) can tomatoes (home canned - 2 c.)
1/2 c. uncooked rice
2 med. sized onions, sliced thin

Dredge steak; pound well in mixture of flour, paprika, salt, pepper, and brown in shortening. Place browned steak in casserole. Make gravy from leftover flour mixture plus 1/2 cup hot water. Pour over steak and then add tomatoes, rice, and top with sliced onions. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6.
