CHOCOLATE SAUCE FOR ICE CREAM 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 egg, beaten
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, syrup, and egg in medium pan. Add chocolate. Cook slowly, stirring constantly, until it comes to a full boil. Stir, boiling for 3 minutes. Remove from burner. Let stand 5 minutes. Slowly add evaporated milk and vanilla. Makes 2 cups.
