OLD FASHIONED CRACKLING BREAD | |
1 1/2 c. cracklings or crisp bacon, chopped 1 1/2 c. white cornmeal 3 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. buttermilk 1 egg, beaten Mix cracklings with dry ingredients. Add buttermilk and egg. Pour into a hot, greased skillet. Bake in 450 degree oven for about 25 minutes or until light brown. |
