SAUSAGE SAGE DRESSING | |
1 (14 oz.) pkg. sage bread cubes 3 slices bread, cubed 1 c. butter 4-6 med. onions, chopped 1 lb. sage flavored pork sausage 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. rubbed sage 1 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning 1 c. shredded carrots 3 c. chicken broth 1 c. half and half Butter bottom of 4 quart casserole dish. Saute onions in butter until soft. Add sausage and brown. Add remaining ingredients to sausage/onion mixture and mix well. Bake with top for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove top and allow top of casserole to brown, if desired, for an additional 5 to 10 minutes. Serves 12. |
