GREEN CHILE QUICHE 
Pastry for 9 inch pie
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies, drained
2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash of garlic powder

Bake pastry shell at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool. Cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender; drain. Sprinkle beef mixture into pastry shell; top with green chilies and cheese. Combine last 4 ingredients mixing well. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes or until set. Cool slightly. Yield: one 9 inch quiche.
