ACORN SQUASH WITH SAUSAGE BALLS 
3 med. acorn squash
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 lbs. sausage
3 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. brown sugar

Wash acorn squash; cut in half and remove seeds and membranes. Sprinkle with salt and place cut side down in oiled baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Form sausage into 18 small balls and brown on all sides. Pour off excess fat. Turn squash and place butter and sugar in cavities; add sausage balls and continue baking for 30 minutes or until tender.
