CHERRY PECAN DROPS 
1 c. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Candied cherries, cut in sixths

Blend together butter, salt, confectioners sugar and vanilla. Add flour and nuts; mix well. Shape into small balls; place about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Press small indentation in center of each ball with fingertip; insert piece of candied cherry in each. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Remove cookies and cool on wire rack. Makes 5 dozen.
