CHOCO - CHERRY NUT DROPS 
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. (6 oz. pkg.) chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/4 c. Maraschino cherries, chopped

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Cream butter. Gradually add the brown and white sugars, and continue to beat until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla. Beat well. Add the dry ingredients gradually, blending well. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts and cherries. (I prefer using 2 cups or 1 [12 oz.] package chocolate chips.) Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden brown.
