BUTTERY CINNAMON SKILLET APPLES 
1/3 c. butter
1/3-1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. water
1/4-1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 med. cooking apples, cored, unpeeled, cut in half

In a 10-inch skillet melt butter over medium heat 3-4 minutes. Stir in sugar and cornstarch; mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Cover; cook over medium heat, spooning sauce over apples occasionally until apples are fork tender and sauce is thickened, 12-15 minutes.

To serve, place 2 apple halves on individual dessert dishes. Spoon 1/2 cup sauce over each dessert. Yield: 4 servings - 2 cups sauce.
