HOT HOLIDAY CIDER 
3 qts. apple cider
1 qt. cranberry juice
1/4 c. sugar
3 sm. oranges, pierce with fork
16 whole cloves
6 sticks cinnamon
1 tsp. whole allspice
2 c. rum, optional

Place cider, cranberry juice and sugar in a large (30 cup) percolator. Put pierced oranges, cloves, cinnamon, and allspice in the top basket and perk as for coffee. Yields 32 (4 oz.) servings. Very simple and very good! Great for an open house.
