CATFISH STEW | |
1/2 c. chopped bacon 1 c. chopped onion 28 oz. can tomatoes, undrained 2 c. diced potatoes 2 c. water 1/4 c. catsup 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves 1 lb. catfish cut in chunks Fry bacon until transparent. Add onion and saute until bacon is brown and onion is tender. Add remaining ingredients except fish. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes. Add fish, cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Serves 6. |
