GLORIFIED SHORTBREAD 
1 c. butter
2 c. flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
Pinch of salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. sugar
1 c. walnuts, chopped
1 c. coconut
1 tbsp. flour
1/8 tsp. baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut butter into mixture of next 4 ingredients until crumbly. (Don't use mixer.) Press into 9 x 13 pan. Bake 15 minutes. Spoon mixture of eggs and remaining ingredients on top of partially cooked shortbread. Bake for 15 minutes longer. Cool completely. Cut into bars. Yield: 2 dozen.
