NORA'S CORN CHOWDER 
2 oz. bacon, cut up
1 1/2 c. diced raw potatoes
3 c. hot water
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt or to taste
Dash of pepper
2 slices onion, chopped
2 c. fresh or #2 can of cream style corn
1 c. evaporated milk or light cream

Saute bacon and onion. Add potatoes, water, and corn (if fresh). Boil until potatoes are done. Add remaining ingredients and reheat (do not boil). Garnish with parsley.
